This 78mm aluminum ceramic cylinder kit upgrades displacement: KLX250 (250cc) increases +6.0mm to 292.3cc; KLX300 (292.3cc) uses 78mm as OEM standard bore. Performance gains: 11.0:1 compression ratio for increased power and throttle response. Kit includes: 78mm ceramic-coated aluminum cylinder block, 78mm piston (matched to bore), piston rings (2-ring set), wrist pin, circlips, and full top-end gasket set (cylinder head gasket, base gasket, valve stem seals). Ceramic/Nikasil coated aluminum cylinder provides superior heat dissipation, wear resistance, and reduced friction compared to cast iron alternatives.

78mm is big bore for KLX250 (requires crankcase machining) - OEM KLX300 standard bore is 78mm (direct fit for 300 models). Ideal for restoring lost compression, eliminating blow-by, reducing oil consumption, and performing complete top-end maintenance on 250-300cc dual-sport engines.
