MTC-K1500H Kawasaki 1973-1980 Z1 to KZ1000 Big Bore Piston Kit Super Pro 1500cc
PIT STOP PERFORMANCE Kawasaki Z1, KZ900, KZ1000. New MTC Engineering Big Bore Piston Kit, 1500cc. These pistons are manufactured in Cocoa Florida using the highest quality aluminum alloy. The pistons do not expand with heat as much as other forged pistons. This allows tighter piston to wall clearance.
Each piston is subjected to a battery of quality control checks to assure uniformity and high quality. Some of the world's fastest motorcycles are equipped with MTC Engineering pistons. This MTC Engineering piston kit contains the following: (4) 85mm aluminum forged pistons. (4) Hard chromed wrist pins.
(4) Sets of 85mm rings. (with three piece oil ring) (8) Teflon buttons sized for a 85mm bore. (buttons take the place of circlips) (1) Cometic one piece copper head gasket. The displacement for 85mm pistons is 1500cc. If you have ever seen what a dislodged circlip can do to a piston and cylinder, you would never use them again.
Your cost includes everything shown in the picture. This piston kit will fit Kawasaki Z1, KZ900 and KZ1000 models. This covers all models from 1973 through 1980.
The pistons in the picture are 13.5:1 compression ratio. These are for serious racing applications. This set of pistons requires the use of a Big Block.
The pistons have 17mm wrist pins and are available with 18mm wrist pins. They have valve reliefs sized for 39mm intake valves and 33mm exhaust valves. PIT STOP PERFORMANCE offers a complete machine shop service. I can provide you with any product made by MTC Engineering.
